Scope

[edit]

Is there a defined selection criteria for this list? Are these 'notable' firearms? Or every firearm model ever named? Or..? Whatever the case, the article needs to have a lead describing its contents and criteria, per Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Stand-alone lists Rezin (talk) 23:13, 4 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Page length

[edit]

At the time of writing, this page is 529,638 bytes; that is far too long. What's the best way to split it? Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 12:33, 1 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, but it would take too long. Daniel231V (talk) 17:57, 17 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
What would? Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 18:32, 12 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Having had no meaningful response, I've split out the "S" section. I'll do more later. Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 20:32, 22 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

The best splitting I could think of would be giving each letter or a set of letters their own article (depending on the length) and this article be the main hub with the redirect links AtomicAndy8044 22:23, 17 January 2024 (EST)

Briefly organizing guns with bold letter

[edit]

I have seen "AK Family" (some something really similar) and want to have it organizing similar guns or guns under the same family(However, the AUG is not an ak variant, might need to change)
